Tamil Nadu Open University the first Open University of Chennai located in the capital of the state of Tamil Nadu. The courses offered by University are recognized by UGC, NCTE, RCI, and DEB. The University specializes in UG and PG programs and offers Certificate and Vocational courses to the candidates alongside full-fledged courses with 218 programs in various disciplines.

Faculty members at the college are fairly good and highly knowledgeable. All of them are very fluent in English and the local language Tamil. They always try to attend to each student separately and clear their doubts.

Apart from a good academic record, the institute has a decent placement record. The highest CTC offered is around INR 25,000 per month and the placement details of the institute are as follows.

Placements:

  • TNOU offers a variety of Seminars, Guest Lectures, webinars, Conferences, Corporate Meets, Personality Development & Communication Skills Programs, and Counselling Sessions to prepare the candidates before the placements drive.

  • Till now TNOU has successfully placed 60,000 students and has been continuously working to bring placement opportunities for the scholars.

  • Tamilnadu Open University has a student placement cell and about 80% of the students were placed from the college in the topmost companies.

  • The salary packages offered to the students ranged between rupees 15000-25000 per month.

  • Companies like TCS, Accenture, and some IT companies visit the college for an internship and placement.

  • About 40% of the students got an internship.

The infrastructure of the college is fairly good and the college has a top-class library and facilities like canteens and big classrooms. The library is well-stocked with lots of subject-oriented books and journals.
