Yes, you can get internship opportunities with a CGPA of 6.9. In the past students of IIT Bhubaneswar got internships even with 6 CGPA. Companies that hire for internships usually sets the CGPA criteria to 6 or above. Other than CGPA, your skill sets will play a major role in getting an internship. So, focus on mastering different skills required by the MNCs.

A GPA of 6.9 is fairly good to apply for internships. In the past, students with a 6.0 GPA bagged great internship opportunities. Most companies have criteria of 6 and above GPAs. If you will get the internship or not, that depends on how many of your skills match the company’s requirements. Having a low GPA does not brutally affect your chances of getting an internship. But not caring about it at all and letting it fall lower than a 6 might cost you some opportunities. An average academic score ensures the companies if or not you’re eligible for the job. Nowadays, most companies hire students with creative skills. Academic performance, although of great importance, has been sidelined. If you can show your employer that you have the ability to think on your feet during a crisis and you have the skill set required to execute the job, you won’t need to worry about the GPA. So, focus more on honing your skills and gaining experience and not on your score.
