The topic of GD for Jain University MBA admission is usually based on current affairs, innovations in the industry, management subjects, etc.

The personal interview questions will test your knowledge and confidence to handle a crowd. There will be a brief introduction round. Be prepared for questions such as why MBA, why Jain University, and what are your strengths and weaknesses, as well.

Jain University offers a 2 year MBA course in 19 different disciplines. It also offers working MBA courses for working professionals.

Admission to the MBA program is done in two ways:

  • Submitting test scores of CAT/ GMAT/ XAT/ MAT/ or CMAT

  • Appearing for JET: Jain Entrance Test

The admission process also involves a group discussion and personal interview. Students are usually tested on their current knowledge of ongoing news. They will mostly be given recent topics of debate and discussion related to economy, business, politics, national policies, and global incidents.

Apart from this the interview also involves generic questions which require specific answers such as:

  • Brief Introduction of yourself

  • Why did you choose this college?

  • Why are you interested in an MBA

  • What are your Strengths?

  • What are your Weaknesses?

  • Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

  • What makes you different from others?

  • Tell us one incident where you had to lead people

  • Tell us one incident when you were faced with a challenge and how did you overcome it.

The main aim of the interview is to test your confidence, communication, general knowledge, expressibility, and other factors required in the MBA. The group discussion is generally conducted in groups of 10 and is used to test your ability to communicate, public speaking, and the ability to manage groups as well as your general approach towards people.

Talking to alumni or current college students about their GD and Interview can help you prepare. You can also go for classes or access online material on various sites to prepare beforehand.
