No, it is not necessary to pass both examinations of a topic in the first year of the MBBS at RGUHS. As per RS3 rules and maks distribution, you just have to ensure you score an overall grade of 50% including internal exams, both the paper and theoretical viva.

It is vital to secure a 50% overall grade. Here is the mark distribution for the first year of the MBBS at RGUHS:

Particulars

Marks

Internal Assessment

40

Theory Paper (2)

100 (each) x 2 = 200

Theory Viva

40

Total

280

The total marks is 280 out of which candidates must at least secure 140 marks in total. It is valid for anatomy and physiology papers. The Biochemistry paper is divided into 2 parts with 50 marks assigned for each paper.

It is not difficult to pass the first year of the MBBS at RGUHS. With a valid score of 50% aggregate plus 75% of attendance in theory and 80% in practicals. You must be able to pass your first year MBBS RGUHS Examination with flying colours.

In the first year of the MBBS RGUHS, it is not necessary to pass individually on both examinations of a topic. You only need to make sure that your overall grade which includes your internal exams, both the papers and the theoretical viva is greater than 50%. It is not required in accordance with the RS3 rules and the marks distribution.

In medical education, it's common for examinations to be divided into multiple papers or subjects, each with its own passing criteria. Typically, students are required to pass each paper or subject separately to progress to the next level of their studies.

Internals are worth 40 points, the overall total for the two papers is 200 points, and the viva is worth 40 points. In order to pass the topic, you must have a score of at least 140 out of a possible 280. This is valid for anatomy and physiology as topics. Only half of biochemistry will be utilised in the course.

There is no need to pass separately on both the papers of a subject in the first year of MBBS RGUHS. You just need to make sure to score above 50% of the total that includes your internal examinations, both the papers and the theory viva. According to the RS3 regulations and the marks distribution, it is not mandatory.

Internals carry 40 marks, total marks for both papers combined is 200 marks and the viva has 40 marks. So, the total becomes 280, out of which it is necessary for you to score above 140 to pass the subject. This holds true for the subjects- anatomy and physiology. As for biochemistry, only half of it will be applied to the subject.
