The most common reason for people having a bad perception of Shyam Lal college is the reputation of the olden days of the college. Many people might complain because it’s an out-campus college as it is away from the North or South campus of DU. So, it might lack some facilities and the environment which in-campus colleges might have.

One of my relatives was lucky enough to be a part of the faculty in Shyam Lal College. He taught subjects like Company Law and Financial Accounting. 

Here are some remarkable points he had experienced there:

• The classrooms and corridors are usually full of cheerful students listening and grasping the contents of lectures.
• Students' priority had been to attend the classes in the college. 
• All thanks to the well-prepared pedagogy and friendly interaction with the students. 
• No doubt students loved giving priority to attendance, classes, and other activities.
• Other faculty members were quite friendly and helpful as well.

Since my relative has retired from college with cherished memories, he doesn't regret it even a bit. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter if the college is situated on campus or not. Follow your passion and work hard wherever you are, as that is the only way to succeed.
