Which one should I choose, SIBM Pune or New IIMs like IIM Ranchi, Trichy, Udaipur, or Rohtak?
Posted On - Aug 2, 2021SIBM Pune is ahead of the new IIMs as of now. The institute is almost 45 years old. It has a huge alumni base and a better industry interface. The placement record of SIBM Pune is pretty good. The batch of 2021-22 received an average CTC of INR 23.06 LPA. The recruiting companies and the job roles offered at SIBM Pune and the new IIMs are more or less the same.
But SIBM Pune fees are higher than that of new IIMs. SIBM Pune MBA costs INR 21.32 lakhs.
SIBM Pune is a 40-year-old college and has a very good reputation among all the other private colleges. It has a very nice alumni base and hence a lot of companies prefer recruiting from here. When we look at the fee structure, it is quite high at SIBM as compared to the second-generation IIM.
On the other hand, the students of the second generation IIM will be almost a decade old when this new batch will pass out. They have the advantage of studying in the IIM which helps them in some parts of the other. They all have been placed in the main campuses of various firms and are ready to go forward.
The placements at SIBM are way better. Various companies that visit and offer the roles are more or less the same in the colleges mentioned above.
