XAT 2023 Cut-off Likely to Increase as Compared to Last Year, Says Experts; Check Expected Cut-off Here

New Delhi: XLRI Jamshedpur has successfully conducted the XAT 2023 entrance exam in various exam centers across the country on January 08, 2023. As per the expert’s reviews, the cut-off for this session is expected to increase as compared to last year. 

As per the experts, the exam pattern for XAT 2023 was slightly different than the last year's edition as this year there was an increase of one question in decision making and the addition of a 5-minute Mock keyboard test. While the difficulty level of the exam was the same as last year.

Talking about the XAT 2023 question paper and expected cut-off, Ramnath Kanakadandi, National CAT Course Director, T.I.M.E shared that with an increase of 10 minutes in the exam, the cut-off for the same is expected to increase this year.

XAT 2023 Expected Cut-off

Following the detailed XAT 2023 paper analysis, the questions included in the test are similar in difficulty level compared to last year. However, the cut-offs for this year are expected to increase as there was an increase in the number of questions.

For Verbal and Logical Reasoning, the cut-off is likely to increase by 4-5 marks, Decision Making by 7 marks, and Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation by around 8-9 marks. The cutoffs for the BM program would be for the Male and Female categories only.

XAT 2023 Exam Analysis

This year, the total number of questions was 76 and 25 in Part I and Part III. Section 1- Verbal and Logical Ability included 26 questions, Decision Making Ability covered 22 questions, Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation had 28 and General Knowledge had 25 questions.

The XAT 2023 verbal ability section needed some time to solve but they were not difficult. Most of the questions were moderate in difficulty level, while a few parts were easy to solve. However, the Paragraph Formation took more than expected to answer, as per experts.
