XAT 2021: XLRI Jamshedpur has conducted the XAT 2021 in computer-based mode on January 3, 2021 (Today) in one shift from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. The exam was conducted across 70 cities in the country amid COVID-19 pandemic and chilly winter climate. 

Candidates who have appeared for the XAT 2021 examination can check the exam analysis and expected cut off from the following section. It is stated that there is no change in the examination pattern. 

The exam held by XLRI Jamshedpur had 100 MCQs to be completed in 3 hours. The paper had 4 sections categorised as Part 1 with 3 sections while Part 2 included 1 section. These sections are of Verbal and Logical Ability (VA & LR), Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation (QA & DI), Decision Making (DM) and General Knowledge (GK).

XAT 2021 Analysis: Highlights

  • The XAT 2021 examination is conducted for three hours and the question paper consists of 100 questions in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) format
  • The time limit for section 1 of the question paper is 165 minutes and the time limit for section 2 of the question paper is 15 minutes. 
  • Verbal and Logical Ability section consists of 26 questions, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation section consists of 28 questions, Decision-making section consists of 21 questions and the General Knowledge section consists of 25 questions. 
  • The level of difficulty of the XAT 2021 examination is Moderate

Contrary to this, a few students also expressed of facing difficulty with Logical Reasoning and Decision making questions, which seemed tricky and difficult, while other sections seemed easy to moderate.

Candidates will be awarded 1 mark for each correct answer in XAT 2021 examination and for each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be reduced. For more than 8 unattempted questions, 0.10 marks will be reduced. There is no negative marking in section 2 of the XAT 2020 exam which consists of General Knowledge questions.

XAT 2021: Expert Analysis 

According to the experts, it is informed that the difficulty level of the XAT 2021 examination is moderate. For the majority of the students, the quantitative section was easier and the VA section was tougher. 

The decision making section of XAT 2021 examination was found to be moderate. The exam analysis is provided on the basis of the reaction given by candidates who took up the examination and experts of top coaching centres.

XAT 2021 examination question paper is divided into two sections. The first section consists of Verbal and Logical Ability, Decision Making and Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation.
