V.M. Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Education (VMSIIHE), Goa is inviting applications for the B.Sc. programmes in Culinary Arts and International Hospitality Management for the academic year 2022-23.

The online applications for BSc programmes are available on the official VMSIIHE website. Thus, candidates interested in applying for the B.Sc. programmes can obtain the application form and submit it at the earliest.

VMSIIHE B.Sc. Admissions 2022: Eligibility Criteria

VMSIIHE Admission 2022: B.Sc in Culinary Arts

The BSc program in culinary arts is structured to cater to the aspirational needs of young students who have a flair and passion for food innovations and who wish to launch their career as a chef, food & beverage managers at starred hotels and restaurants or to establish their own culinary concept.

The programme combines the in-depth exposure to a variety of cuisines with a strong focus on managerial and entrepreneurial skills.

Students taking the culinary course would have to undertake an internship of 24 weeks (six months) at starred hotels in India. The program mainly focuses on improving communication skills, problem-solving, time management, planning and teamwork skills.

The culinary program has six semesters with a total of 142 credits. On completion of the program, the students will be awarded a degree from Goa University –Bachelor of Science (Culinary Arts).

VMSIIHE Admission 2022: B.Sc in International Hospitality Management

The 3-year degree, B.Sc. – International Hospitality Management, provides students a challenging program that will help them to develop a critical, analytical, and evaluative approach to hospitality management graduates.

The course is designed with an aim to produce graduates with all the necessary technical, operational and management skills to meet the increasing demand of the international hospitality industry.

VMSIIHE Admission 2022: M.Sc. IHTM

The M.Sc. International Hospitality and Tourism Management program (M.Sc. IHTM) has been designed to meet the educational needs of young hospitality graduates and adult learners, working as managers, entrepreneurs, educators and other professionals in business and in the industry.

The MSc program has been designed to provide a hospitality and tourism management based education with an academically rigorous program of study that meets the requirements for a professional Master's degree.

VMSIIHE Admission 2022: Written Examination

Once the candidate applies for the specified programmes, the admissions coordinator of the institute will get in touch with them to schedule an appointment for a written examination.

If the candidate has a valid JEE/ UGAT score, they need not sit for the written examination. The written test will consist of Abstract Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, English Comprehension, and General Knowledge.

VMSIIHE Admission 2022: Personal interview/group discussion

If the candidate gets shortlisted after the written examination; or has a valid UGAT/JEE score, they will be selected for a personal interview/group discussion.

VMSIIHE Admission 2022: Provisional Admissions Letter

Post the successful completion of the written test, group discussion, and personal interview, candidates will receive a provisional admissions letter for their admission into the BSc programme.

It should be noted that the candidate’s admission to VMSIIHE programmes is subject to submission of all documents completed in all respects and payment of the necessary fees.

The admissions of the respective candidate will be confirmed by VMSIIHE on the scrutiny of the documents submitted. During the admission process, the candidate will have to pay course fees/ hostel fees before the due date.
