Visva-Bharati will start the admission process for the current academic year on 10 August. Due to the pandemic, registrations will be only through online mode.

According to the university officials, applicants have to visit the official website to register to Visva-Bharati from 10 August onwards. The entire admission process will be carried out online.

A senior official said, “We will prepare the merit list (of applicants) within a month and ask the (selected) students to get admitted online.”

To verify student testimonials, the university is going to wait until the pandemic subsides and the situation ameliorates. Should a testimonial be found fake during physical document verification, the admission will be cancelled.

Online admissions will be a challenge for the Department of Fine Arts, Kala Bhavana, and the Department of Music, Sangeet Bhavana, as students are selected on the basis of their performance. In these departments, admissions are likely to be held up.
