New Delhi: The UCEED 2023 test will be administered by IIT Bombay on January 22, 2023. Below mentioned are some sample questions and advice on how to ace the UCEED drawing portion.

The drawing/subjective evaluation topic for the UCEED exam was first presented in 2021.

Part A of the UCEED test carries 240 marks (out of a possible 300 marks), and it has a time limit of two hours and thirty minutes. The aptitude part of the exam is called UCEED Part A.

The last 30 minutes of the test will be used to complete one sketching question for 60 marks in Part B of the UCEED 2023. The questions for Part B will be displayed on the computer screen, and students will need to sketch their answers in the given answer booklet.

What types of inquiries can be anticipated in the UCEED 2023 sketching section?

The following categories could apply to all common UCEED Part B test questions:

Fine Art Question: Draw a hand holding a pencil, Draw a person sitting on a chair, Draw still life drawings of bottles, etc. are some examples of questions in the fine art category. Your understanding of perspective, human and animal anatomy, textures, shade and shadow, etc. will be primarily tested by this.

Question about creative thinking: You have magic beans in your hand and you throw them out of your bedroom window. When you wake up in the morning, you see something enthralling. This question is more akin to an applied art question and tests both your creative thinking and drawing abilities. You can really enjoy answering these open-ended questions, which allow you to express your creativity to its fullest. Additionally, you may be given some illogical shapes or lines, and your job is to complete them with doodles or sketches.

Graphic Questions: These questions may ask you to draw posters, book covers, murals, or other types of 2D graphics. Create a poster, for instance, to raise awareness of the need to lessen one's carbon footprint.

Creative writing- Writing can also be part of creative writing questions, where students may be asked to write a caption, finish a story, or express an opinion. For instance, you might be asked to write a short story based on some objects or characters and sketch a scene from it, or you might be shown an image and asked to describe the mood it gives you.

Observation type: You may be requested to use a pencil for purposes other than writing or given only a portion of an image or object, in which case you must identify it or fill the missing piece.

Aptitude-type sketch questions: This is where aptitude and sketching can be combined. For instance, a cube's surface development may show specific shapes on each face; you must imagine how the cube will look when assembled or joined to form a three-dimensional form. You must then draw the cube with the correct orientation of all the shapes on the correct surfaces.

Design problem type:  This is a common question type where a design issue is presented and a solution is required. For instance, you might be asked to design a two-wheeled ambulance for rural areas or create a phone app for farmers so that their products can be sold directly to consumers, bypassing middlemen.
