Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (Deemed to be University) has initiated the admission process for lateral entry to UG programs.

TIET has released the detailed schedule to conduct counselling for UG admissions. Students seeking an application can be a part of the counselling sessions. The official link to check second online counselling cutoff list is given below.

The TIET first online counselling list 2020 has been issued already on August 5, 2020. Counselling session based on the first list will continue from August 5-24, 2020.

Meanwhile, TIET signs MoU with Xebia Academy Global, to launch a new course for CSE students. Computer Science students at TIET will be open to new specializations in the departments of software development and automation, Cloud Engineering, and DevOps for the academic session of 2020-21.

Thapar University Online Counselling 2020: Process Details

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the university will conduct all counselling sessions online. The counselling rounds will be held on Zoom platform. 

As a fact, students are now awaiting the second counselling list. As per the university regulation, counselling list is prepared based on 10+2 PCM score.

After students got admission through first, second and their merit list, other vacant seats will be filled based on JEE main ranks as and when it will be conducted. Alternatively, if such situations do not appear, further counselling will adopt prior 3 admission processes.
