The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu has released Tamil Nadu NEET Merit List 2020 on November 16, 2020 on its official website i.e. (tnhealth.tn.gov.in).

For admission in MBBS / BDS courses, candidates should have secured 50 percentile in NEET 2020 examination. A merit list will be prepared based on this score.

TN MBBS/ BDS: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should check the eligibility criteria before applying for the TN MBBS and BDS courses.

Applications of candidates who do not fulfill the eligibility criteria will be rejected.

  • The basic eligibility to apply for MBBS/BDS is 17 years. Candidates should have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2020.
  • Candidates should be citizens of India.
  • Overseas Citizens of India applied under Section 7A of the Citizenship Act, 1955 are also eligible to apply but they should provide proof of such registration.

TN MBBS/ BDS: Application Process

Candidates could check the below section to know more about the application process for TN MBBS/ BDS Admission.

Step 1: Visit the official website and register using email ID and phone number

Step 2: Fill in the application form with the correct information

Step 3: Attach the required documents

Step 4: Pay online registration fees and submit the application form.

Step 5: Save the application form and take a printout of it for future reference.

Candidates could pay the fees through any of the online payments including Debit Card, Credit Card, and Net banking.

For offline mode of payment, INR 1,000 should be paid towards the cost of application fee through the Demand Draft in favor of The Secretary, Selection Committee, Office of the Director of Medical Education, Chennai-10.

TN MBBS/ BDS Application: Documents Required

Candidates should attach the documents mentioned below at the time of applying for TN MBBS/ BDS courses.

  • NEET- 2020 Admit card and Scorecard.
  • Class X Mark Sheet (both sides of Mark Sheet should be photocopied).
  • Class XII Mark Sheet (both sides of Mark Sheet should be photocopied).
  • H.S.C. Mark sheet (both sides of the mark sheet should be photocopied) or any other equivalent examination.
  • Transfer certificate obtained after the completion of H.S.C. or equivalent courses.
  • Certificate for proof of study from VI Std. to XII Std.
  • Nativity certificate obtained from Tamil Nadu for the candidates who are seeking admission under the minority category.
  • Permanent Community Certificate Card.
  • NRI related documents, if applicable.

TN MBBS/ BDS: Counselling And Merit List

Merit list for MBBS/ BDS courses has been prepared on the basis of the marks secured by the candidates in the NEET 2020 examination.

The merit list has been released on the official website by the secretary of the Selection Committee. It consists of the ranks secured by the candidates for the admission of MBBS and BDS courses.

TN NEET 2020 Counselling schedule and call letter for counselling will be released after the declaration of the merit list.

The counselling and seat allotment process will be based on the merit list and the ranks secured by the candidates.
