Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has planned to conduct an interactive session on his Twitter handle to have a conversation about competitive examinations at 10 am on December 10, 2020.
Ahead of the session, Candidates around the nation have started requesting the Education Minister to reduce and postpone the examination date for JEE Main 2021 and NEET 2021.
Pokhriyal received over hundreds of requests from students and most of them were about reducing the syllabus and postponement of the JEE Main and NEET 2021 examination.
Certain students also requested the education minister to provide an attempt to attend the JEE Advanced 2021 examination for the candidates who could not attend the examination in 2020 because of the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic.
It has been observed that candidates have been requesting to provide another attempt in JEE Advanced even before JEE Main 2020 was conducted.
Many candidates have also visited IIT Delhi seeking remedy for their concerns because many could not prepare for the JEE Advanced 2020 and many candidates could not attend the examination because of the COVID 19 restriction.
Candidates were only permitted to attend the examination three times and candidates who were in their last attempt have requested to provide another attempt to attend the JEE Advanced examination.

In the live session of the Education Minister on Twitter, candidates were hopeful for the good news of postponement for the JEE Main 2021 January examination.
Many students have suggested postponing the JEE Main 2021 January exam to February or March and the April examination could be postponed to June 2021.
Students have also expressed their concerns over the Maharashtra and Gujarat Board examinations which were postponed to be conducted in May 2021. Students requested the education minister to announce the possible dates for the June and July competitive examinations.
