New Delhi: The admission process for UG Admission to St Stephen’s College has not been decided yet by the college governing authorities. It is likely to meet on September 30, to discuss the Delhi High Court Orderand to solve the issue regarding admission process for the academic year 2022-23.

The Governing body of St Stephen’s College will hold the meeting to discuss in detail the order of the Delhi High Court and Delhi University’s UG admission process.

Earlier, the Delhi High Court has directed St Stephen's College not to conduct interviews for non-minority communities for admission to undergraduate programs. The court further commanded it to comply with Delhi University's directives by withdrawing the admission prospectus. 

Referring to the admission to UG courses at St. Stephen's College, the Delhi High Court’s division bench had said, "The petitioner college shall abide by the directive that 100% weightage must be given to CUET 2022 for UG admission for non-minority category candidates”.

St. Stephen's College and Delhi University admissions issue is not new. Even before CUET 2022 was conducted, the former was adamant at following its own admission procedure i.e., conducting interviews for students along with CUET.
