However, St Stephen's College is currently holding an admission process for the minority seats reserved for Christian candidates.

The Delhi University colleges concluded the first round of seat distribution for undergraduate programmes on Oct 25, with more than 59,100 candidates having paid fees to secure their seats.

The college offers a total of 11 undergraduate courses with 450 seats. This year, the admissions process was delayed for several months as a result of the conflict between Delhi University and St. Stephen's College.

However, admission to the college finally started after the Supreme Court's ruling earlier this month. The Delhi High Court's ruling directing St. Stephen's College to abide by Delhi University's admissions requirements was not overturned by the Supreme Court.

It should be emphasised that the university will not be accepting students based on their Class 12 grades, but they'll be granted admission based on CUET scores.

Haneet Gandhi, the admissions dean, stated that all 200 of the unreserved seats at St. Stephen's College was filled during the first round of seat distribution.

The admission process for the remaining seats (reserved for Christian candidates) is underway. The college has received the students' data and based on the interview, they will be holding admission, Gandhi said.

According to the high court's directive that the college should obey the university's admission policy, that is the Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-2022 score must be given 100 percent weight when granting admission to non-minority students in undergraduate courses.
