New Delhi: SKUAST Kashmir is inviting applications for admission to its various UG and PG programs for the academic session 2023-24. Aspiring candidates can apply for admission through the official admission portal at skuastkashmir.co.in/ before April 16, 2023.

As per SKUAST, admission is open for various SKUAST Programs 2023 offered at UG and PG levels in the discipline of Agriculture, Veterinary Sciences, Agricultural Engineering, EVS, Horticulture, Fisheries, and other sciences.

To apply for UG and PG programs under SKUAST Admission 2023, candidates need to submit their online application form along with a scanned copy of the required documents.

SKUAST UG, PG Admission 2023: Eligibility Criteria

For admission to SKUAST programs offered at UG and PG levels, candidates can check the eligibility criteria mentioned below:

UG Courses: 

For Domiciles of UT of J&K and UT of Ladakh Candidates: 

• Passed class 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects from a recognized board. 
• For B.Tech Agricultural Engineering course candidates must have passed class 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects from a recognized board. 
• Candidates must have scored at least 50% for OM (40% for reserved category candidates). 
• Candidates must be of minimum 17 years of age and maximum of 28 years on December 31, 2023 (minimum 21 years and maximum 37 years of age in case of GoJK in In-Service candidates).

NRI Sponsored and Other States/ UTs Candidates:

• Passed class 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects from a recognized board. 
• For the B.Tech Agricultural Engineering course candidates must have passed class 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects from a recognized board. 
• Candidates must be of minimum 17 years of age and a maximum of 28 years on December 31, 2023 (minimum 21 years and maximum 37 years of age in case of GoJK in In-Service candidates).
• Candidates must have scored at least 80% marks in the case of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry.
• Candidates must have scored at least 70% marks for all UG courses except Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry.

PG Courses:

For Domiciles of UT of J&K and UT of Ladakh Candidates: 

• Hold a bachelor’s degree of a minimum four-year or above in the relevant field from a recognized university.
• Candidates must have scored at least an OFPA of 2.80 out of 4.00 scale or 6.00 on 10.00 scale or 60% marks in aggregate.

NRI Sponsored and Other States/ UTs Candidates:

• Hold a bachelor’s degree of minimum four-year or above in the relevant field from a recognized university.
• Candidates must have scored at least OFPA of 6.50 on 10.00 scale or 65% marks in aggregate.

SKUAST UG, PG Admission Process 2023: Selection Criteria

The candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria can check the following selection criteria for UG and PG courses:

• The selection of candidates for UG and PG programs (Except B.Tech Agricultural Engineering) will be based on the UET 2023 exam.
• Admission to B.Tech Agricultural Engineering program is done on the basis of marks secured in JEE Main/ CET of BOPEE, J&K.

Follow the steps mentioned below to complete the online application process to apply for UG and PG programs offered at SKUAST:

Step 1: Go to the official website of SKUAST at skuastkashmir.co.in/. 

Step 2: Register yourself after filling in all the required details, such as Mobile number, Email ID etc.

Step 3: Now, log in using your registration credentials received via mail and fill in all details mentioned in the Application form.

Step 4: Pay the required application fee and submit the application form. 

Step 5: Applicants must also take a printout of the form for all future needs.
