September 29, 2020: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) Entrance exam for the agricultural courses received about 10, 500 applications in Jammu and Kashmir. 

The Students of SKUAST, Srinagar are showing their interest in the Agricultural Sciences and Technology course. The university is planning on giving an agricultural exposure to its students and teachers in the field of Agricultural Sciences with the help of National Education Policy 2020.

SKUAST Entrance Exam 2020: Highlights

The university conducted the entrance examination for Undergraduate programs on September 27, 2020. The results declaration date is yet to be announced. Selected candidates will be called for a counselling session and document verification at the campus. For more details, check the table below:

Irrespective of the coronavirus situation and lockdown, students showed their interest in seeking admission in agricultural courses at the Sher-e-Kashmir University. The university also provides different courses such as B.Sc (Agriculture), B.Sc, B.F.Sc, BE/B.Tech, M.Sc, etc.

SKUAST Entrance Exam 2020: Thousands turn up braving COVID scare

The SKUAST University ranking has increased over the years. College alumni have spread all over the globe. The university is looking forward to providing excellent education to the 800 selected students who will join the university in the academic session 2020. 

Students who appeared for the entrance examination said, "I am grateful to be able to take the agricultural course exam today amid the COVID-19 pandemic. I have come from very far and hope that my extensive preparation pays off".

He added, "All COVID-19 SOPs were followed. Everyone is wearing a mask and we are maintaining social distancing".

According to professor Nazeer Ahmed, the Vice-Chancellor of SKUAST statement, The university has recorded twice the number of registration in the last five years. The students are now aware of and interested in the scope of the high-level scientific research field.

Professor Nazeer Ahmed said," I am glad that with each passing year, the number of applicants grows. Five years ago, about 5000 students applied. This year we have about 10,500 applicants”.

He added, “I believe this is due to the recognition we are getting in the country and around the world. Students are now aware of the immense potential of these courses and the scope of high-level scientific research in the field”.
