New Delhi: Sharda University conducted the formal opening of the recently established “Jain Study Centre” on April 17, 2023. A Sharda Health City Superspecialty hospital was also opened, according to a statement from Sharda University.
At the Greater Noida campus, the hospital and the study centre were both officially opened. At the opening ceremony, which was presided by Jain guru Vijay Nityanand Surishwar, more than 1500 individuals were presented there.
Sharda University’s chancellor PK Gupta said that Jainism is a sattvic religion where there is a sense of giving the most. Students should become familiar with Jainism's culture and religion thanks to this study center. Even students at Sharda University have the option of enrolling in the Jain topic as a supplementary course, which will be advantageous for them.
The provost of Sharda University, YK Gupta, stated: "Sharda Medical College has about 1250 beds at present and we are planning to add 1200 more beds over the next two years. The largest hospital in North India will be this one. We are working towards it and over the next few years, we'll significantly increase our global awareness.
Nityanand shared spiritual and inspirational ideas with the students in attendance throughout the event. During the opening ceremony, he declared: "Sharda University has significantly impacted the sphere of education. Sharda has always been linked to Jainism, which explains why pupils exhibit positive ideals as well. A student's life includes both education and culture, and both are crucial to their growth. The Sharda Hospital offers a variety of free services, and by doing so, they are helping the community. One of the finest services is believed to be service to the patients”.
