The Rajiv Gandhi University, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh has signed an MoU agreement with the Higher Education Financing Agency (HEFA) to develop the university infrastructure.
The memorandum of understanding(MOU) agreement has been signed at an estimated cost of Rs 66.59 crore with the HFEA and Bank of Baroda for the construction of infrastructure in Rajiv Gandhi University(RGU)
Saket Kushwaha, the central University's Vice-Chancellor said that Under the infrastructure development program, the following buildings/projects will be constructed,
- A Separate Faculty Building for the Electronic and Communication Department.
- Residential Quarters for Staff.
- Hostels for the Students.
As per the statement given by an official, the university buildings will be constructed with an estimated amount of Rs 66.59 crores that have been sanctioned by the agency.
Kushwaha added that the sanctioned loan will be spent only on the university projects which involve revenue generation. The HFEA is a joint venture of Canara Bank and Union Ministry of Education, that provides financial assistance to develop good infrastructure for the country's premier educational institutions.
