The eligibility criteria differs from one category to the other. The following tables mention the required criteria for both M.Tech and Ph.D courses:

M.Tech Admission Eligibility Criteria:

Ph.D Admission Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates seeking admission to Ph.D in Engineering must have 60% in the last qualifying exam. Candidates with Bachelor’s degree must have 75% marks or 70% marks along with 2 years of working experience. They need to have 65% marks in Master’s degree and 60% in Bachelor’s Science aspirant candidates must have 60% in Master’s. They also need to have 75% in Bachelor’s degree or 70% in case they have 2 years of work experience Candidates for Humanities departments, must have 60% in Master’s degree in Engineering or any subject from Humanities. They need to have 75% in Bachelor’s or 70% in case they have 2 years of work experience Candidates seeking Ph.D. in Management Studies must have 60% in Master’s. RGIPT M.Tech & Ph.D Admission 2022: Selection Process

Candidates will be selected through the following process:

The applicants for M.Tech course, are shortlisted on the basis of their GATE scores, followed by an interview. Candidates without GATE score, will have to appear for a written test followed by an interview
Candidates for Ph.D admission, will have to appear for a written test followed by an interview. The following categories of applicants will be eligible for direct interview:
