Rajasthan Government has approved to add 230 additional seats in four different medical colleges for MBBS Admission. Interested candidates will have 50 additional seats in Ajmer and Udaipur Medical College, and 30 additional seats in Barmer Medical College for MBBS Admission. 

While comparing with last year’s data, a total of 650 MBBS Admission seats have been increased for interested and eligible candidates. In the last two years, the state has witnessed an increase of 80 seats for MBBS Admission. 

According to the statement made by Health Secretary Vaibhav Galriya, earlier a total of 1950 MBBS seats were available for admission, which in 2020 has increased to 2,830.

The commencement of Srikalyan Government Medical College has also been approved by the National Medical Science Commission. The Srikalyan Government Medical College will commence from the next academic session 2020-2021 as per the official statement. 

Referring to the decision taken by the Rajasthan Government over the approval of the commencement of medical college, Goving Singh Dotasara stated through his tweet that the eagerly anticipating Sikar Medical College has received its approval of commencement for next academic year from the National Medical Science Commission. 

He further expressed his gratitude by stating that approval of the commencement of Skiar Medical College is a result of the strong will power of the Government of the Rajasthan State.

Schools in Rajasthan Expected to Open from Nov 2 for Classes 10 to 12

Rajasthan is expected to open schools for students from November 02, 2020, onwards. The schools of Rajasthan state have been closed for the past 7 months due to the coronavirus pandemic and nation lockdown restrictions. 

The Rajasthan Government is planning to reopen schools for classes 10th and 12th confirmed the officials. The Ministry of Home Affairs has also commenced the state government to reopen the schools in a graded manner while complying with the COVID-19 precautions.

Referring to the reopening of schools in the state, the State Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasara confirmed that the department has already sent a proposal regarding the reopening of schools to the state government of Rajasthan. Department is now waiting to receive a green signal from the authority.

Expressing his concerns regarding COVID-19, he added," A detailed SOPs have been drafted in this context and sent to the state government as well”.

He further added, Our worry is to ensure that schools are being run for 150 days at least which is the minimum requirement for operating one academic school session".
