New Delhi: Presidency University, Kolkata announces that from this year again there will be entrance exams. To secure a seat in the undergraduate program, students will appear for an admission test. The tests will be held tentatively on May 20 and 21, 2023.
After three years, the undergraduate aspirants of Presidency University, will be expected to write an entrance test rather than get admission based on marks secured in the board exams.
With the start of the Pandemic, the institution suspended its admission tests, a practice followed by the institution for screening of the candidates.
The postgraduate admission test will also be reviewed after the three-year gap which is to be held on May 21.

On behalf of the Presidency, the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) board has been conducting the entrance exam since 2015 and will soon announce the date for a specific undergraduate subject test, said a presidency official.
According to an official, a booklet is expected to come out from the JEE board which will include all the information regarding the dates for holding the test for specific subjects, eligibility criteria, and the schedule for online submission of the form.
Apart from Kolkata being the center, district centers are also going to be set up, according to the sources on campus.
The Alumni Association wrote to the Education Minister in May that normalcy has returned with students coming back to campus and appearing for campus exams. In this case, the admission tests should be restarted for all departments through the JEE board. It will end admission based on the student's board exams.
