The Odisha government is planning to hold the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) after the JEE Main 2020 ends on July 23, 2020.

OJEE 2020 exams were postponed and since then the students have been clueless about it. The sources said that COVID-19 has been a hindrance in the timely conduct of the examination.

Last year, the OJEE had conducted CBT for all PG courses only. Whereas, this year CBT will be held for both PG and UG courses.

A senior officer of the skill development and technical education department said, "The JEE Main is scheduled to be held between July 18 to July 23, 2020 across the country. If the Centre goes ahead with the scheduled dates, we will conduct OJEE by the end of July or the first week of August 2020."

Earlier the OJEE entrance exams were scheduled in the first week of May 2020. However on April 14, 2020 the examinations were postponed till further notice. The dates are yet to be declared by the authorities.

The state government has decided not to hold the second OJEE test this year, in view of the COVID-19 outbreak. However, a special OJEE for entry into B.Tech courses will be held. The aspirants who somehow failed to appear for JEE Main can appear for OJEE examination.
