The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) released standard operating procedure (SOP) on October 5, 2020, for conducting joint entrance examinations during the COVID-19 pandemic situation. 

The OJEE 2020 will be conducted from October 12, 2020, to October 19, 2020, across the state.

 This year around 79,800 candidates will appear for the OJEE to get admission into various undergraduate (UG)/postgraduate (PG) level professional courses such as BPharm, BTech, MTech, MBA, MCA, MArch, MPlan, and MPharm.

Students can now download the admit card from the official website of the OJEE, (ojee.nic.in)

As per the OJEE authorities, all necessary measures related to hygiene and social distancing will be taken at the exam centers to ensure candidates' health and convenience. 

The Government has set up 24 centers, including 21 inside the state and three outside the state. The exam will take place in three shifts each day.

SK Chand, OJEE Chairman informed that candidates suffering from high body temperature or any other COVID symptom will be allowed to appear for the examination in an isolated hall.

 He informed that before the beginning of each shift exam center, including the seating area of a candidate, examination halls, door handles, lift switches, and railings will get disinfected and sanitized. 

At the exam centers, only 50 percent of the total seating will be used so that the authorities can maintain the gap between two adjoining candidates following the guidelines of the Government.

Students would not be permitted inside the exam center without wearing three-layered masks. Candidates are also advised to carry a small transparent container of sanitizer liquid.

 Masks and gloves will be given to the invigilators and associated staff members. The entire examination procedure will be made contactless.

The staff will keep hand sanitizers at the entry and several other places inside the center. Apart from this, candidates need to sanitize their hands before entering the examination hall. 

Besides, at the entry point, they will check the body temperature of the candidates using Thermo Guns.
