Odisha conducted the JEE Main examination in 26 different exam centres across seven different cities of the state. Despite rising COVID-19 cases around 3,600 students appeared for JEE Main in Odisha on September 1, 2020.

The seven cities of Odisha where JEE Main 2020 is conducted include Cuttack, Rourkela, Balasore, Berhampur, Sambalpur, Bhubaneswar and Dhenkanal. Strict COVID-19 guidelines were followed at all the exam centres.

Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik wished all the students appearing for JEE Main through his twitter post which read, "Best wishes to all the students appearing for #JEEMain2020 during this challenging time. May you all be successful and come through with flying colors."

To minimize the risk of COVID-19 spread, aspirants were checked with a thermal scanner before entering the examination hall and strict social distancing was also followed.

The Odisha government also made transport arrangements and provided buses and accommodation for students as well as their guardians.
