NBU (North Bengal University) has recently announced that they will release results of both UG and PG courses, provided the SC verdict goes in the favour of the candidates.

Earlier, a plea was filed by a group of students regarding UGC’s decision to hold final year exams by the end of September. 

Moreover, a petition filed by the students is up for hearing in the apex court, demanding the waiver of the final exams.

A bench headed by Justice Ashok Bhushan has mentioned that the UGC and the centre will have to reply on the pleas and should be posted for hearing on July 31, 2020.

According to the statement of NBU officials, North Bengal comprises 49 universities.

Moreover, the registrar has said that the university will publish the results on July 31, 2020, in accordance with the orders of the state government and will act as per the verdict of SC.

Besides this, North Bengal University will conduct no exam for students evaluated on the 80:20 rule. For students in the terminal semester/ final year of PG and UG level, 80% weightage will be considered on the basis of the best aggregate percentage.

The remaining 20% will be considered on the basis of internal assessment during the current semester or year.

Furthermore, NBU officials have also announced that the commencement of the new admission forms for the next academic session has been scheduled from August 10-25,2020.
