New Delhi: As per the latest updates, National Law University (NLU), Tripura has decided not to accept CLAT 2023 scores for shortlisting candidates to its BA LLB and LLM admission seats. Following this, the university has been removed from the candidate's NLU preference list.
As per NLU Tripura, the university has informed the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs), Tripura (NLU, Tripura) regarding its decision not to participate in the CLAT 2023 admission process and in the counselling process for the academic session 2023-24.
Informing about its decision regarding CLAT 2023, the official notice reads, “National Law University, Tripura (NLU, Tripura) has informed the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) that it shall not participate in the Admissions Counselling Process for Academic Year 2023-24”.
“All candidates participating in the Admissions Counselling Process for the Common Law Admission Test, 2023 are hereby informed that NLU, Tripura shall be removed from the preferences indicated by candidates” it added.
Talking about NLU Tripura Admission 2023 process, the officials informed that the university will be deleted from the preferences specified by candidates for CLAT 2023. Applicants who are taking part in the counselling process must go through the detailed notice for more information.
After the withdrawal of NLU Tripura, there are a total of 23 NLUs that accept CLAT 2023 scores for shortlisting candidates for admission to their law courses. The CLAT 2023 Counselling registration process is now open for candidates from December 28, 2022.
Candidates who wish to participate in CLAT 2023 counselling process can submit their registrations through the official website of NLUs at consortiumofnlus.ac.in/clat-2023. The last date to register for the same is January 12, 2023.
