New Delhi: The first international conference on "Intelligent Solutions for Emergency Support and Disaster Management (ISERDM 2023)" will be held from January 9 to 11 in Trivandrum, Kerala, and will be co-hosted by the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Trichy and the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC).
All undergraduate students pursuing degrees in BSc, BCA, BBA, BCom, BE, and BTech are welcome to attend the event. Teams of two participants are asked to come up with their own issue statements in the areas of data science, IT/web security, machine learning, and app development. According to The Hindu, the event would also feature a 28-hour hackathon.
The ideas will be chosen based on how new, original, and innovative they are. There will be a 25,000 INR prize pool. According to a press announcement, the hackathon will be done entirely offline on the grounds of NIT Trichy.
The conference's major objective is to present and discuss intelligence-based approaches to disaster management and emergency support. The conference will go over numerous theories and techniques for smarter solutions and look into the many strategies created for disaster relief and emergency assistance. The conference offers chances to talk with influential figures in the industry and significantly widens the network of academics and professionals.
V Thiruppugazh, Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Flood Mitigation for Chennai Metro and former advisor to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Ministry of Home Affairs, will officially open the conference.
