New Delhi: A three-day diamond jubilee global alumni event will be held between December 28 and 30, 2022, at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela's Centre for Alumni, Industry, and International Relations. Today is the day of the event's opening ceremony, which will be followed by a cultural programme (December 28, 2022).

The chief guest and guest of honour at the event iorganised by NIT Rourkela will be two alumni: Shrikant Madhav Vaidya, chairman of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., and CP Gurnani, chief executive officer and managing director of Tech Mahindra.

180 alumni will attend the event

Prof. K Umamaheshwar Rao, director of NIT Rourkela, will preside over the opening session. There are 180 alumni members in total, some of whom are from the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Japan, Qatar, Kuwait, and Nepal.

Day 2 will feature the "Leadership Conclave" and the "Women Achievers Conclave," while Day 3 will feature the "Young Achievers Conclave." During the NIT Rourkela global alumni event, a panel discussion about industry growth, tree planting, and other initiatives will also be held.
