New Delhi: National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur has begun the application process for the PhD programme for the academic session of January 2023 with 60 Fellowship Seats. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal, @https://nith.ac.in/. 

NIT Hamirpur, offers full-time (FT) and part-time (PT) PhD programmes in 13 departments for the January 2023 session. Candidates seeking admission to the PhD programme can submit their applications till December 14, 2022.

NIT Hamirpur PhD Admission 2022-23: Dates

The shortlisted candidates for admission into PhD under Full-Time program are eligible to receive institute fellowship as per Ministry of Education, (former MHRD) rules. The Category-wise (EWS, OBC, SC, ST, PWD) reservations on overall available seats will be followed as per Government of India norms.

NIT Hamirpur PhD Admission 2022-23: Eligaibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the PhD programme will have to meet the requisite eligibility criteria. 

• Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Technology/Engineering with 60% marks
• Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Science or equivalent with 60% marks or a Master’s degree in Arts/ Commerce or equivalent with a minimum of 55% marks.
• Candidates must have a valid score in GATE/ CEED/ JEST (for Physics) OR Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) of CSIR/ NBHM/ UGC NET / DBT/ ICAR/ ICMR/ ICPR OR DST INSPIRE Fellowship. 
• M.Tech. + Ph.D. and M.Sc.+ Ph.D. dual degree holders are also eligible to apply.
• For applicants who have a dual degree, the grade point of the last two semesters of the course will be considered.

NIT Hamirpur PhD Admission 2022-23: Selection Process

• Candidate's final selection to the PhD programme will be done on the basis of performance of a candidate in the interview round. 
• Applicants must also have one of the following: CSIR JRF/ UGC/ NBHM/ DBT/ ICAR/ ICMR/ ICPR or DST INSPIRE Fellowship or a minimum of 2 years of professional work experience. 

NIT Hamirpur PhD Admission 2022-23: How to Apply?

Step 1: Visit the official application portal of NIT Hamirpur @https://nith.ac.in/.

Step 2: Register yourself after filling the required details, such as Mobile number, Email Id etc.

Step 3: Now, login with your registration credentials and fill all details in the Application form.

Step 4: Pay the application fee and submit the Application form. 

Step 5: Applicants must also take a print out of the form for all future needs.

The application processing fee is Rs.1200/- for Open/EWS/OBC-NCL and Rs. 600/- for SC/ST/PwD per application, which is to be paid online through SBI Collect (https://www.onlinesbi.com/sbicollect) as per the procedure mentioned (Refer to “Guidelines for Payment of Ph.D. Application Fee through SBI Collect”).
