New Delhi: NIT Durgapur has begun the application process for admission to the PhD programme for the academic session 2023-24. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal, @https://nitdgp.ac.in/. 

NIT Durgapur offers a Ph.D. program under 10 different departments to the Full-Time/ Part-Time/ Sponsored candidates. Hence, candidates seeking admission to the PhD programme can submit their applications till January 13, 2023. 

Admission to the PhD programme is done based on the written test and interview conducted by the institute.

NIT Durgapur PhD Admission 2023: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates intending to enrol for admission to the PhD programme will have to meet the requisite eligibility criteria. 

• Candidates must hold an M.Tech/ ME/ M.Arch/ M.Pharm/equivalent degree in relevant discipline with at least 6.5 CGPA or 60% marks in aggregate in the M.Tech/equivalent level from a recognized Technical Institute or University/Govt. Open University.
• Candidates should have B.Tech/ BE/ MCA/ B.Arch/ B.Pharm in relevant discipline with at least 7.5 CGPA or 70% marks in aggregate from a recognized Technical Institute or University/Govt. Open University.
• Candidates should have M.Sc/ M.Com/ MA/ MBBS/ BDS in relevant discipline with at least 6.0 CGPA or 55% marks or equivalent in aggregate from a recognized institute or University/Govt. Open University.
• Qualification in GATE/ CSIR-UGC NET /DBT or other similar admission tests conducted by Govt of India agencies for admission to the PhD program is mandatory as per MHRD norm for candidates not having M.Tech/ME degree for Category B & C (full time).

NIT Durgapur PhD Admission 2023: Selection Process

• Candidate's shortlisting to the PhD programme will be done by the respective departments based on the documents submitted (online) and only the shortlisted candidates will be intimated for online admission test and viva voce (online) on the notified date.
• All shortlisted candidates shall appear for the admission test offline/online. 
• There may be a further screening after the conduction of the admission test and before viva-voce, depending upon the number of candidates.

Step 1: Visit the official application portal of NIT Durgapur @https://nitdgp.ac.in/. 

Step 2: Register yourself after filling the required details, such as Mobile number, Email Id etc.

Step 3: Now, login with your registration credentials and fill all details in the Application form.

Step 4: Pay the application fee and submit the Application form. 

Step 5: Applicants must also take a print out of the form for all future needs.
