New Delhi: NIMHANS (National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro-Sciences) is providing a certificate programme in "Principles & Practice of Social Work in Mental Health Rehabilitation Settings." The class's start date is February 10, 2023, and its length is three months.
Selection of candidates for the NIMHANS, Social Work in Mental Health Certificate Programme will be made in accordance with eligibility criteria. 35 seats are available and the fee is INR 6000.
Applicants should submit their applications through email or hard copy on plain paper together with the following items: a one-page essay outlining their motivations for enrolling in the certificate programme online, their biographical information, and a recent passport-size photo.
Anyone with a bachelor's or master's degree in social work from a university approved by the UGC is eligible to enrol in the program, as are individuals employed by NGOs or in settings for mental health rehabilitation.
The objective of the course is to give social workers the skills and assurance they need to establish and oversee facilities for mental health therapy.
The training would improve the practical skills of social work graduates and postgraduates employed by nonprofit organisations, which are critical to the delivery of services, particularly welfare programmes, to people in India who have developmental and mental disabilities.
