New Delhi: Medical Counselling Committee has extended the last date of reporting for round 1 NEET UG Counselling 2022 to October 29, 2022 (till 4 pm). The dates have been extended after the committee received requests from students and colleges for an extension of reporting time.

Candidates who have registered for round 1 counselling of NEET UG 2022 can now report to their allotted colleges by 4 pm on October 29, 2022 to complete their admission process. Earlier, applicants were given time till October 28, 2022, to complete the process. 

MCC informs, "This is in reference to the Reporting module of Round 1 of UG Counselling 2022 which was scheduled to end on October 28. However, requests and representations are being received by MCC from students and participating colleges for an extension of time of reporting," 

“Hence, to facilitate students and institutes the competent authority has decided to extend the Reporting for Round-1 of UG Counselling 2022 up to 4 pm on October 29, 2022” MCC said in a statement.

In addition to this, the Medical Counselling Committee or MCC has announced that interested candidates can now resign their seats allotted in NEET UG Round 1 Counselling 2022 till November 01, 2022 (by 5 pm). 

Informing about the NEET UG 2022 Schedule, the official notice reads, "Candidates are advised to ensure that their Resignation Letter is generated online (through the portal provided by MCC) by the allotted college, failing which the resignation will be treated as ‘Null & Void’".

"In such a case, the candidate will be deemed to occupy the seat still, and the rules of Round 2 will apply. Any letter other than Resignation Letter generated through the online portal will not be considered as ‘Resignation Letter’" the notice further reads. 

In case candidates wish to resign their seats through the mail, they are required to send the email to their allotted college. After the process, they will receive the resignation letter generated through the official website of the exam authority at mcc.nic.in.
