NEET UG 2020: Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has started the NEET UG 2020 Counselling Mop-Up Round on December 10 while the fee payment window has opened today (December 11, 2020). Candidates can register for the Mop-Up round till December 14, 2020, until 7:00 pm.

Counselling Mop-Up Round for NEET UG 2020 is conducted by MCC to fill the seats that remain vacant at Deemed or Central Universities, AIIMS, JIPMER and ESIC institutes in the first two rounds. Candidates who will appear for NEET-UG mop-up round can visit the official website mcc.nic.in and register before the last date approaches.

  1. Visit official website of MCC: mcc.nic.in/UGcounseling
  2. Click the "New Registration" link and fill all personal details.
  3. Pay NEET counselling fee in online mode as per student's category.
  4. Fill the choices of colleges as well as courses and lock them.

NEET UG 2020 Mop-Up Round: Process Details 

MCC conducts two rounds of NEET-UG Counselling 2020 and after that, if any seat remains vacant are transferred to state medical colleges and deemed universities. These vacant seats are filled in the NEET 2020 Counselling Mop-Up round.

Candidates who have somehow not received a seat in the first and second round of NEET Counselling 2020 can participate in the NEET UG Mop-Up Round. Even after getting admission in the first and second round, candidates can take part in the Mop-Up round, provided that they have not filled the retention form.

After registration, candidates have to pay the fee and fill their choices between December 11 to December 14, 2020. Thereafter the authorities will declare the NEET UG mop round result on December 17, 2020.

NEET 2020: What Next after Mop-Up Round?

The second round seat allotment result of NEET-UG 2020 Counselling was declared on November 30. Results of NEET 2020 Mop-Up round will be declared on December 17 on MCC’s official portal. Candidates selected for mop-round will require to report to assigned colleges from December 18-26, 2020 for confirming their seats.

This year, MCC is going to conduct three rounds of NEET UG counselling. The round 1 result was declared on November 6 and candidates were allowed to report as per the NEET UG seat allotment till November 14, 2020.

Candidates must note that after the NEET UG 2020 mop-up round the vacant seats will be transferred to central universities/ deemed universities/ ESIC/ AIIMS and JIPMER for stray vacancy round. This round will take place from December 27 to 31, 2020.
