NTA has released the NEET 2020 Result and the highest number of qualifying candidates is reported from Uttar Pradesh, followed by Maharashtra.

This year 13.66 lakh candidates appeared for NEET 2020, out of which 7.7 lakh candidates have successfully qualified for the exam. One of the officials also revealed, "Maximum number of candidates clearing NEET 2020 this year are from Uttar Pradesh at 88,889, while Maharashtra is at second spot with 79,974."

After UP and Maharashtra, Rajasthan is the third to witness the maximum qualifying candidates with 65,758 count. Check the table below to know state-wise qualification details of NEET 2020.

Earlier the statistics released by NEET 2020 revealed that Tripura was pegged as the state with the highest number of candidates, however, later the authority rectified the data stating that it was a human error.

This year females surpassed the males, with 4.27 lakh females clearing NEET 2020. Whereas 3,43 lakh male candidates qualified for the exam. Out of the four transgender candidates who appeared for the exam, one cleared it.

Following the amendment in the National Medical Act, 2019 the admission in MBBS courses in all 13 AIIMS, Jawaharlal Institute of PG Medical Education and Research, Puducherry will be done on the basis of NEET 2020. The Parliament passed this amendment last year.
