National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the results of the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020 on October 16, 2020, at 4:24 PM on the official website: ntaresults.nic.in. The results have been announced for both September 13 and October 14 attempts. Read details here.

Alongside this, NEET 2020 UG Cutoff for 15% All India Quota seats and state-wise counselling will also be announced soon. After the declaration of results, National Medical Commission (NMC) will conduct the counselling process in place of the Medical Council of India (MCI). 

Note: NTA officials claim, ​Scorecard for NEET Result 2020 will be available @ntaneet.nic.in for the next 3 months.

This year, around 15.97 lakhs candidates have registered for NEET 2020 out of which only 85% - 90% candidates have appeared for the examination conducted on September 23, 2020.

Following which, the re-examination for NEET 2020 was held on October 14, 2020, for the candidates who could not appear for the exam due to the strict COVID-19 protocol.

  • NTA will declare NEET 2020 results at 4 PM, today, October 16.
  • This year, about 13,67,032 applicants attended the Phase-1 exams, while a meagre 290 in Phase-2.
  • Alongside, NTA will release NEET 2020 Answer Key for all the sets of question papers.
  • NEET to offer admission in courses: MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, BVSc and AH.
  • Seats vacant in MBBS: 80,005, BDS:26,949, AYUSH: 52,720, BVSc and AH: 525 across the country.

NEET 2020: How to Check Result?

Follow the steps below to check NEET 2020 results:

  1. Visit the official website: ntaresults.nic.in

  1. On the homepage, click the “Score Card NEET(UG) 2020” link.
  1. Enter roll number, Date of Birth, Security Pin at NEET candidate login page.

  1. NEET 2020 result will appear on the screen
  1. Verify NEET result details; download and retain multiple printouts for future reference.

NEET 2020: Answer key

NTA has earlier released the provisional answer key and OMR sheets on September 26 with which candidates could calculate their marks.

The final answer key will be declared on the official website of NTA on October 16, 2020.

NEET 2020: Merit List and Cut-offs

NTA will be publishing the merit list and cut off list after the declaration of NEET 2020 results. Candidates will be provided preliminary admission in medical colleges across the country based on the merit and cut off list.

NEET 2020 Result: Tie-Breaking Criteria 

For preparing the rank list, if students score similar marks, then students who scored highest in Bitny and Zoology will be given the utmost preference. Follwed by this:

  • If the tie persists, the student who scores the highest in Chemistry will be preferred. 
  • If the tie remains, the student who has the least incorrect responses will e considered. 
  • At last, to break the tie, students from older age group will be preferred. 

NEET UG 2020: Counseling 

Candidates will be able to take part in the counselling process with the merit and cut off list and will be allowed colleges according to their preference.

MCC/ DGHS will be conducting counselling for Deemed Universities/ Central Universities/ Seats of ESIC and AFMC including Delhi University (DU), BHU, AMU, AIIMS and JIPMER.

Counselling for other state universities or institutes will be conducted as per the announcements of respective authorities.
