New Delhi: As per the latest updates, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Mansukh Mandaviya has told Lok Sabha that the government has decided not to postpone NEET PG 2023 exam. The exam will be held as per schedule for registered candidates.

Informing about the NEET PG 2023, he informed that the decision not to postpone the examination is taken to avoid any further delay in the examination and counselling process caused due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the country.

In his statement, the Health Minister shared that “The government has recently extended the internship cut-off date to August 11, 2023, so that no students across the country are ineligible to appear for the exam".

"Secondly, students were informed about five months earlier that NEET PG exam 2023 will be held on March 5, 2023. It is important to prevent delays caused due to COVID-19 and hence I have informed the student's delegation about why the exam will not be rescheduled", he added.

In a response to the statement, National Chairman of FAIMA, Roham Krishnan said, "Why just only one batch suffers the most because of COVID. There is a “TRIAGE” protocol for emergencies, & “Damage Control Protocols” for coming out of the Pandemic. However, now his stand is clear it seems, NO POSTPONEMENT as of now".
