New Delhi: The National Medical Commission (NMC) is all set to respond on the postponement issue as petitioners from Telangana submit a representation. Recently, the Telangana HC decided on the NEET PG 2023 applicants' appeal, who requested for the exam postponement.
The Ministry of Health and Welfare has also agreed to the request of the candidates about extending the internship deadline, which is already done and now it is extended till August 11.
However, with the extension of the internship dates, the time between the exam date and the counselling date is increased. Candidates have demanded for a 6 to 8 week exam date postponement in order to abbreviate the number of days.
Meanwhile, the National Medical Lawyer Commission made it clear during the Telangana HC hearing on February 15, 2023, that the organisation does not agree to the postponement of the exam date.
The Telangana HC has asked the NMC to contact the NEET PG 2023 applicants as soon as possible and attempt to postpone the exam date, if possible. Aspirants for NEET PG 2023 have been invited to submit a new request for NEET PG 2023 delay to NMC and the Ministry of Health.
Therefore, the Ministry of Health and NMC are solely responsible for making the postponing decision. Candidates can now anticipate that the NMC would investigate the situation thoroughly and take the Telangana HC's request into account.
Candidates will be notified via the official website in the event that the NEET PG 2023 exam date is postponed in any way. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official NBE website, nbe.edu.in, for any latest updates.
