New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has once again extended the deadline for completing the required one-year internship for MBBS doctors to August 11, 2023, in accordance with instructions from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).
The NBEMS board will also reopen the NEET PG application period so that qualified applicants can submit their application forms.
According to the NBEMS notice, all the desirable applicants who are completing their internship between July 1 and August 11 and who meet all other requirements outlined in the NEET-PG 2023 information bulletin may apply between February 9 (3PM onwards) and 12, 2023. (till 11:55 PM).
Interested candidates can submit the online application form through the official website @https://natboard.edu.in.
The deadline for finishing the MBBS internship, which is a requirement for being eligible to take the NEET PG, was originally set for March 31. Doctors objected, therefore it was postponed until June 30. It has now been extended once again.
The NBEMS notice revealed that the NEET PG application window will be open on natboard.edu.in from February 9 (3 pm) to February 12 (11:55 pm).
Candidates will be able to select their chosen state and city from a list that was made available at the end of the previous application window. This will be done based on the first come, first serve basis.
The application edit window will open for all of these applicants who successfully submitted their NEET-PG application and examination fee between February 9, 2023, and February 12, 2023, till February 15, 2023.
All the applicants for NEET-PG 2023 who are discovered to not have supplied the necessary photos in accordance with the established rules will have access to the Final/Selective Edit Window from February 18, to 20, 2023.
A list of these candidates will be published on NBEMS website prior to the opening of the final edit window, the board said.
Meanwhile, the Neet PG 2023 exam is scheduled for March 5. The doctors' body sought the exam to be postponed by May-June. According to the NEET PG Schedule issued by the NBE, the NEET PG 2023 results will be out around March 31, and the counselling process will start in July 2023.
However, the candidates are pushing for an extension in the NEET PG 2023 exam by two to three weeks in order to decrease the gap between the result declaration and counselling procedure.
