New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has released the revised examination dates for the PG dental entrance examination, NEET MDS 2022, on its official website @nbe.edu.in.
The NBE has notified that the NEET MDS 2022 examination will be conducted on May 2, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. As a result of which the application window will also be reopened from 3 PM on March 21, for candidates vying to appear for the exam.
Earlier, the NEET MDS 2022 exam was scheduled to be held on March 6, however it was postponed after the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare directed to extend the date of the exam by four to six weeks.
The exam dates were postponed because the date of completion of the compulsory rotating internships which is a part of the eligibility criteria for admissions to MDS Courses has also been deferred to July 31, instead of previously mandated March 31, 2022.
Now, to enable aspiring candidates to apply for NEET-MDS 2022 keeping in mind the revised cut-off date for internship completion (i.e. 31st July 2022), the online application window for submission of applications for NEET-MDS 2022 which was closed on Jan 24 will be reopened.

The NBE has clarified in its notice that the candidates who completed their registration process during the previous registration schedule, i.e, from January 4 to 24, 2022 will not be allowed to change their application forms in the revised schedule.
The registration window will be activated till 11:55 pm on March 30, 2022. The edit window for those submitting the applications will be opened till April 1 - 4, 2022. The selective edit window to rectify the details will open from April 11 - 13, 2022.

About NEET MDS 2022
The NEET-MDS 2022 will be conducted on May 2, 2022 on a computer based platform at various test centres across the country. NEET-MDS exam is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination also known as the single entrance examination for admission to various MDS Courses under Dentists Act, 1948 (amended from time to time).
The MDS exam acts as the gateway for entrance to PG Dental Courses in all government and private medical colleges in the country, except AIIMS.
