The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) issued a notice on Monday to warn students against the fake allotment letter circulating on social media.

As per the MCC varsities, MCC has not released any such letter and the students are advised not to rely on such fake allotment letters and also not to share or forward such fake information. 

Moreover, candidates must note that the NEET 2020 Counselling allotment letter is available on the official website only for those who have been allotted seats based on the allotment list issued. 

Regarding NEET Counselling, the notice released by MCC, reads, “It has come to the notice of MCC and MoHFW that a fake Allotment letter purportedly issued by MCC as attached below is being circulated in the social media. In this regard, it is mentioned that students are allotted seats on the basis of merit and choices filled by them through MCC software which can be downloaded only by the successful candidates from the MCC website.”

The notice further states that MCC does not allot seats based on nomination. It is further reiterated that no letter has been issued by the MCC in this regard. Candidates are advised not to believe in any such fake letters and also not to forward or share fake information to any other social media groups. 

Necessary action will be taken against any person indulging in such malicious activities. Candidates are also advised to lodge a complaint in Cyber Crime Cell or an FIR in case they receive such letters and bring the matter to notice of concerned authorities, ” it added.

NEET Counselling 2020 Round 2

The allotment letters for the students for the second round of NEET-UG 2020 Counselling have been released by the Medical Counselling on the official website. 

As per the schedule released by MCC, the students who are allotted seats can confirm their admissions by today, i.e., December 8, 2020. 

Additionally, the registrations for the Mop-Up round will commence from December 10, 2020, onwards.
