National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an official notice stating NEET 2021 scores will be accepted for B.Sc Nursing Admission 2021. The notice has been released on the official website: neet.nta.nic.in. Earlier, the JIPMER institute has also announced that the institute will only NEET 2021 scores to offer admission in the B.Sc Nursing and Allied Health Science programs from this year onwards.
Accordingly, aspirants of B.Sc Nursing can pass NEET 2021 for getting admission. NTA began accepting NEET 2021 applications on July 13 and the last date to submit the online application forms has been extended to August 10 to enable the B.Sc Nursing aspiring candidates to apply and appear for the exam which is scheduled to be held on September 12, 2021. Colleges on Accepting NEET 2021 Scores for B.Sc Nursing Admission
As per the latest updates, many Nursing Colleges affiliated with Delhi University have requested NTA to include them among Colleges Accepting NEET 2021. The proceeds were made after recommendations from DU for accepting NEET (UG) Scores for admission in B.Sc Nursing.
For now, two reputed medical institutes, IMS BHU and JIPMER have announced to conduct admission for B.Sc Nursing based on NEET 2021 scores. Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has recently announced that the NEET UG 2021 exam will be used for the B.Sc Nursing admission.
Banaras Hindu University (BHU) previously held BHU BSc Nursing entrance test, to apply for the BHU Nursing 2021 through NEET, candidates must first enter into their NTA accounts using their credentials on the NTA's official website. BHU will have 75 seats available for the BSc Nursing programme. The NEET 2021 entrance exam is scheduled to be held on September 12, 2021.
JIPMER B.Sc Nursing Admission 2021 will now be based on NEET and conducted by NTA. Hence, NTA will announce the events and dates for JIPMER BSc Nursing 2021 through NEET for the 2021-22 session.
JIPMER offers 94 seats for the BSc Nursing programme, among which 9 seats are for male candidates, while the other 85 seats are for female candidates. Admissions will be provided solely on NEET scores. Earlier, the JIPMER BSc Nursing entrance exam used to be conducted by JIPMER, Puducherry.
NEET 2021 Eligibility Criteria for B.Sc Nursing
Candidates who are seeking admission to various nursing colleges should have checked these eligibility criteria announced by NTA.
- NEET 2021 Eligibility criteria require students to have passed Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects and English with 45% marks.
- Moreover, candidates' age has to be 17 years as of December 31, 2021.
- Additionally, candidates who have passed from state open school and the national institute of open school with PCB subjects and English, are also eligible for this course.
- SC, ST or OBC category students must have got a 5% reduction in total marks.

NTA official notice also reads, “The Result of NEET (UG) - 2021 may be utilized by other Entities of Central and State Governments, in accordance with their respective eligibility criteria / other norms /applicable regulations/guidelines/ rules. The result data will also be utilized for B.Sc. (H) Nursing courses in accordance with their respective eligibility criteria / other norms /applicable regulations/guidelines/ rules.”
