NEET 2020: Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released an official notice mentioning the commencement dates of academic session 2020-21 for Super Speciality (SS) and undergraduate medical courses.
MCC in consultation with the National Medical Commission (NMC) will be starting the academic session for Super Speciality (D.M./M.Ch and DNB SS) courses from January 19, 2021, on the basis of NEET SS 2020.
Whereas, the academic session for MBBS/BDS courses will start from February 2, 2021.

The MCC official notice also mentions, "This issues with the approval of competent authority for the information and further necessary action of colleges and candidates."
Candidates have been granted admission to 31 super speciality courses across 156 private/deemed/government/central and AFMC institutes, on the basis of NEET SS 2020.
Whereas, on the basis of NEET 2020, candidates are offered admission to 80,055 MBBS seats and 26,949 BDS seats across NEET 2020 participating colleges.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, students faced many delays and uncertainty in NEET 2020 attempt along with the after effect of delayed admission process.
Similar situation is creating a fear amongst NEET 2021 aspirants who are raising their queries on the social media platform to get clarity as early as possible. There are multiple questions haunting students like, will the NEET 2021 syllabus be reduced? Will it be held online? Will NEET 2021 exam be held twice a year?
