NEET 2020 will not be conducted at foreign exam centres. Supreme court has denied ordering the Central Government and NTA to conduct the national level medical exam in Gulf countries. However, the Apex court has asked the Union Government to allow the candidates to fly back to India via Vande Bharat Mission in order to appear for the exam at regional exam centres. 

NEET 2020 is going to be conducted on September 13, 2020, and foreign candidates will have to appear the exam in their concerned states. The Court has also mentioned that 14-day quarantine is compulsory for public safety, however, they can ask their respective states for relaxation to appear for the exam.

Supreme Court has passed its verdict on a petition filed by a social worker based in Middle-East. According to the petition, Around 4000 students are going to appear for NEET 2020, and the international flights have been seized to operate due to COVID-19 pandemic, therefore, it's important to conduct the exam at foreign centres. The petitioner also asked to conduct the exam online in case it's difficult to hold the exam at foreign exam centres.

NTA and MCI both stood against the petition and stated, the time is too short to extend any privileges to students from the Gulf. Previously, MCI also filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court mentioning why it is not feasible to conduct NEET 2020 at foreign exam Centers.

For forthcoming years, the Court has asked the Medical Council of India and NTA to consider holding the medical exam online.
