National Centre for Cell Sciences (NCCS), Pune, has released a notification for admissions in Ph.D. programs for the academic year 2020-21. NCCS is affiliated with Savitribai Phule University, Pune.
Interested candidates who meet the eligibility requirements can visit the official website of NCCS, Pune, and apply till December 24, 2020. However, NCCS has decided to commence the Ph.D. program for the academic year 2020-21 from March 2021.

NCCS, Pune PhD Admission 2021: Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification
- Candidates must be a graduate of Masters/PG in any Science stream with a minimum of 55% or equivalent GPA with a valid fellowship from UGC/ CSIR/ DST-Inspire with NET-LS or GATE/ DBT/ ICMR/ BINC etc
- SC/OBC/ST/PwD will get a relaxation of 5%of marks
- Postgraduate candidate with no fellowship but have qualified JGEEBILS exam will be eligible
- Postgraduate candidate with a valid fellowship from UGC/DBT/CSIR/BINC/ICMR or DST-Inspire with NET-LS/GATE are also eligible
- Age Limit
- The maximum age of the candidate must be 28 years
- A relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/Women/PWD candidates
- A relaxation of 3 years for OBC candidates

- Candidates can visit the official NCCS site, www.nccs.res.in and check the detailed information
- Interested candidates who satisfy the above criteria may submit their typed application in the prescribed format (download from NCCS website)
- Candidates must submit their hardcopy of the application form along with the scanned copies of M.Sc. Degree Marks statement and Fellowship Certificate/Exam admit card and send it to email ID academics@nccs.res.in on or before December 24, 2020
- Along with the application form, candidates of SC/ST/OBC categories must attach their original copy of the caste certificate/NCL certificate.
Note: Candidates are required to carry all the necessary documents along with them during the interview process without fail.
