Mumbai University recorded very less registration for Open and Distance Learning in the academic year 2020-21. Around 9,000-58,000 registrations have been reduced due to the pandemic situation.

Mumbai University IDOL (Mumbai University, Institute of Distance and Open Learning) closed its admission process on December 31 where there was a huge dip in admission records in MCOM courses. Only 67,000 students have enrolled for the distance learning programs for the academic year 2020-21.

These students will be commencing their programs from the month of January. Due to low registrations in this academic year, the varsity will be inviting the applications for all the courses again in the month of July. 

The university conducted its semester exams via online mode as well for the sake of health of students and staff.

Mumbai University IDOL Admission Process

 The application form for all programs offered by MU IDOL is available on the official website. The application fee varies for different programs. Candidates can apply for any program

 and submit it. 

Selection is done on the basis of marks obtained in the last qualifying examination. The varsity also gives relaxation to SC/ST/OBC students for 5% in their aggregate marks for the admission process.
