Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) will conduct the end semester theory exams for B.Tech courses from today, i.e, December 21. The exam for the 5th semester will begin on December 29. While for the 7th semester it will commence on December 21.
MIT will hold the exams in two sessions- morning and afternoon. Candidates will be appearing for the examination according to the time table provided to them.
MIT has also made sure to follow all precautions and guidelines issued by the ministry of home affairs ministry and other regulatory organizations.

MIT issued a circular to the students in which the Director, D Srikanth Rao stated, “MIT has taken all measures to ensure the safe conduct of the examinations keeping the prescribed Covid-19 precautions in mind.”
The circular released by the Institute advised the students who are residing at MIT campus to appear for the offline examinations which will be held in 2 sessions on every alternative day. However, they were given the choice to appear for the online exams scheduled to be conducted in January 2021 if they were unable to appear in offline exams.
The director said that the schedule of the online exams will be announced in due time. In addition to this, students opting for the offline examination have the choice to appear for the online examination to improve their grades.
The SOPs issued to be followed for the end semester examination at MIT, includes thermal scanning, social distancing, and wearing of masks. This is somewhat similar to those released by authorities for conducting SSLC examinations.
