Maharashtra Health Sciences and Technical CET (MHTCET) Cell has announced that the final merit list for the CET exam for PCB and PCM group will be released on November 28. Applicants who gave the exam can check the merit list on the official website; mhacet.org. Keep the MHT CET admit card ready to check the MHT CET exam result. 

MHT CET merit list will list out the applicants select for the counselling process. To see the merit list, the applicants will need to enter their ID and date of birth. Applicants who are selected for the counselling process can then secure their admissions to various institutes in Maharashtra.

MHT CET (Common Entrance Test) in Maharashtra was conducted between October 1 and November 7, 2020 amid the pandemic. Many students had previously sent objections to the Test Cell of the state, saying that many of the questions in the exam were wrong.

The state cell finally decided to accept 29 objections and award full marks for those questions. Following which, the merit list will now be announced shortly. 

MHT-CET: Steps to Check the Merit List

Applicants who gave the entrance test can check the merit list and see whether they are eligible for the counselling process or not. To do the same, they will need to follow the steps given below.

  • Visit the official website of the MHT CET; mhtcet.org
  • On the homepage itself, you will find the option for MHT CET merit list 2020
  • Click on the option and a new page will be displayed
  • Here you will need to enter your credentials. Enter your application ID and your date of birth
  • Click on submit and the merit list will be displayed on the screen
  • Find yourself in the merit list and take a print out later on

MHT-CET: Tie-Breaking Criteria

Applicants who gave the exam might secure the same score. In such a case, a tie breaking criteria is needed. The criteria in order is as follows.

  • Less incorrect answer in PCM 
  • Less incorrect answer in Maths
  • Less incorrect answer in Chemistry
  • Higher overall score in class 12
  • Older in age
  • Higher marks in Math in CET
  • Higher marks in Physics in CET
  • Higher marks in Chemistry in CET
  • Higher score in PCM or aggregate in HSC
