The counselling for MHT CET 2020 is scheduled to start this week. The Minister for Higher and Technical Education, Mr. Uday Samant was the one who had declared that the counselling will begin in the first week of December.  

Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell would be conducting the counselling process. 

However, as of yet, the schedule for the counselling has not been released. Candidates should keep a lookout on the official website of the MHT CET to stay updated regarding the schedule; mhtcet.org.

Admissions to B Tech, B Pharma, and other courses will be done during the counselling. The result for the MHT CET has already been declared on November 28. Candidates who made the cut-offs will be able to put forward their candidature for admissions. 

MHT CET: Counselling Process

The counselling process for MHT CET usually involves the following steps.

Step 1: Counselling to various courses will be done through the Common Application Process (CAP). The counselling is done over three rounds.

Step 2: Once the counselling schedule is released by the authorities, the applicant will be required to register for the counselling on the official website.

Step 3: Applicants can register for counselling by entering their MHT CET roll number. 

Step 4: After that, the applicant will need to pay the requisite fee and then upload his photograph and signature.

Step 5: Then choice filling will be done and the applicant will be asked to fill in his choices according to preference.

Step 6: The result of the seat allotment would be declared. If the applicant is allotted a seat, then he will need to report to the allotted institute.

Step 7: The applicant will also need to bring all his documents in original and copy at the time of reporting.

However, keeping the pandemic situation in mind, the verification of documents might be done online this year.

The applicant should make sure to keep the following document available at all times during the counselling. 

  • SSC, HSC Mark sheet
  • MHT CET 2020 Admit Card
  • Category certificate
  • Domicile certificate
  • NRI certificate if applicable
